Ulrika Karlsson is guest professor for architecture at the Städelschule Architecture Class (SAC) starting with the winter semester 2019/20. She is an architect and founding member of the architectural design and research collaboratives Brrum and servo stockholm. Ulrika Karlsson is professor of architecture at KTH School of Architecture, Stockholm, where she previously served as the Director of the Architecture programme. She has been a professor at the University of Arts, Craft and Design, Stockholm, and taught at the UCL as well as the UCLA. She received her master degree in architecture from Columbia University and a landscape architecture degree from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Ulrika Karlsson received, among others, research grants from the Swedish Research Council and the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts – and contributed to numerous journals – including Arq, Perspecta, Via, Arkitektur and AD. She has exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Centre Pompidou, ArkDes, SFMoMA, the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Wexner Center for the Arts, MoMA/QNS, Artists Space, the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, and the Storefront for Art and Architecture.
