Opening: October 18, 2018 at 6 PM
TWO PERSON SHOW is the second exhibition at Tor Art Space. Two new series of sculptural work developed for the occasion will be presented in the former gas station at Allerheiligentor.
Both bodies of work highlight a certain reductive capacity of representation with each artist hollowing out identifiers, and reframing cultural signifiers. The material resolve and exaggerated scale of the sculptures is undermined by their uncertain functionality, reflective of the physicality of the building. The exhibition title and press release mirror the formal reduction of the works by deliberately redacting titles, names and biographical details. Expected focal points become artistically and curatorially redirected.
An additional text curatorially framing the exhibition will be available in situ.
