Anniversary and final group exhibition at Klosterwall 4
Opening: 3.3.18, 7pm
Duration: 5.3. – 17.3.18
The undoubtedly provocative title of the exhibition goes back ten years to 2008, when we were exhibiting in our mobile white tent at the UDK in Berlin. One night a few students, evidently citical of the art market, sprayed our venue with the following message in gold paint
TOY BITCHES FUCK YOU
An excellent piece of work and a reasonable commentary on the at times overheated market. Of course we didn't throw it away, and we'll be hanging it in our shop window. An anniversary, so to speak.
The title also reflects the city of Hamburg's dubious treatment of its architectural heritage: the demolition of the listed City Hof ensemble.
From September it'll be business as usual in new premises in Hamburg.
We'll keep you informed.
