My works centres around spatial relations and notions of private and public domains in our daily urban life. Using photographic documentation, factual research material, architectural models and installations, I look at city cultures and investigate architecture, urban environments and city images. Both earlier and recent works examine different urban realities in Denmark as well as in Germany. The work comments on the way architecture and city planning influence our lives. A series of works displays various actions as direct interventions in different situations in public spaces.
Other work presents models for proposals, which suggest innovations of actual situations, for instance a site-specific project: 'public info boards' for the city Odense in Denmark. The proposal recommends the municipality, Odense Kommune, to establish public info boards in the city space. The proposal's concern is related to the fact that Odense does not offer the citizens any public info boards. The citizens have taken to using private info boards, for example in shops and supermarkets, for public information. The project uses the analysis of Odense's urban environment in connection to and based on studies of other European cities and their use of street furniture.
For the current exhibition heute a production of 'free papers' will be presented. The printed matter exemplifies environmental studies and collected impressions of Wiesbaden among other cities.
