Jeff Malpas is Professor of Philosophy and ARC Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania and Distinguished Visiting Professor at LaTrobe University. He is the author of Place and Experience (Cambridge 1999) and Heidegger’s Topology (MIT 2006), as well as the editor of Consequences of Hermeneutics (Northwestern 2010) and The Place of Landscape (MIT forthcoming 2011). He is internationally known for his work in the philosophy of place, and is regularly engaged in interdisciplinary work with architects, geographers and artists.
