Disjunctive Synthesis

 

PROPOSAL
My aim is to combine the activated institution part with normal office and apartment.

SITE
As my proposition is to create the atmosphere to activate the skyscraper, so this four influence zones is very important for my program to activate the site.

PROGRAM
I find that nowadays the office intercommunion happen very often not only the internal but also external. For instance, A office will send the employer to B office to have a short and intensity communication or study in order to develop the office better together. And they need a short and close place for those people who maybe comes from other place. So I check in the internet and map them out, that there is very less serviced apartment. So another main program is serviced apartment.
As the site research and the program research. I have the rough programs. They are commerce plaza, kinder garden, fitness, office and serviced apartment.

MODELLING SYSTEM
My modeling system based on my interest of music research group last semester. We pick a part of normal music piece, then we use the plug‐in of music player and get the parameter of the sound like the power, the amplify and the speed, then we design a media to represent those parameter.
Then I evaluate the proliferation of my system unit for the thesis. As what you see the two different proliferate has different quality. My aim is to get the building to sky, not span out the units. So I decide to use the one growth towards the same direction proliferate unit.

PROCESS
Base on the logic of the unit, I write a script in Rhino to proliferate the unit in a field. And I need to control the system unit in order to get the correct way. Here the parameter I can control: the radii, the angle , the degree and the length.
As my unit is one way linear grows, there is no relationship to the other unit growth, so I find a network system to combine the different unit growth, in the mean while it can articulate the space.
By manipulating the parameters, various scenarios can be generated. And combine the network system I am able to evaluate the spatial quality of the scenarios by their definitions.
